The Villainess Enjoys Her Seventh Life as a Free-Spirited Bride (hostage) in a Former Enemy Country

Chapter 134.1

“Oliver-sama, please give this to His Highness Arnold.”

“Err, Rishe-sama, what is this?”

Oliver was smiling but was clearly confused. He had heard about the situation from Arnold, who was in his office.

Rishe revealed the contents of the basket somewhat sullenly.

“I made sandwiches for His Highness’s supper.”

“Supper…”

Oliver gently tilted his head with a puzzled smile.

“I hope you don’t mind me saying, but I thought you two are quarreling now…?”

“Yes, you’re right.”

Rishe nodded vigorously and looked back over the past few hours.

In the evening, Rishe was troubled by her declaration of a marital spat with Arnold.

She had no idea what she should do to carry out a marital spat.

She holed up in her room by herself and took a trip down memory lane, but she couldn’t work out any marital quarrel that would be helpful.

The Commander had once been kicked out of the house, but I couldn’t possibly do that to His Highness. Rosa said she’d go back to her parent’s home, but my natal home is too far away. There’s also turning all of my husband’s shirts inside out, but I can’t interfere with his morning preparations. Besides, it’ll be Oliver-sama who’ll get into trouble…

After much deliberation, Rishe asked the maids to join her for dinner, and continued brooding in circles.

The maids were naturally puzzled, but when Rishe explained that she had a quarrel with His Highness, they looked as if they understood everything and took great care of her.

After that, she came up with this plan.

“The sandwich in this one has a swear word in sauce on the bread.”

“…Sauce on the bread, swear words?”

“Yes. I wrote ‘Your Highness is an idiot’!”

That way, she could proudly say that it was a fine marital spat.

There was more she wanted to say, but it was hard to write in sauce. Moreover, this was enough to remind him of her opinion.

“Well…”

A subtle expression flashed on Oliver’s face, and then he cleared his throat as if to cover something up.

Afterward, he mended his smile awkwardly before asking.

“In short…Did you go to all the trouble of cooking just so you and My Lord could quarrel?”

“…….”

Still pouting, Rishe turned around and explained with her head down.

“Even the midnight snack I made should not cause any major accidents, as long as it is just a sandwich with ingredients…”

“Nnnng…”

Oliver covered his mouth with his right hand, his shoulders shaking.

“Oliver-sama?”

“Nothing, beg your pardon…My Lord said that he would be working until late today, so I’m sure he would be pleased with the midnight snack.”

Though with swear words!!

Rishe couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt, and then felt dispirited.

She wanted him to eat something better than what she, a terrible cook, had made, but they were in the middle of a fight.

As Rishe was convincing herself, Oliver spoke.

“Speaking of which, what did my master say about this latest marital dispute?”

“He just said he understands.”

Oliver gently lowered his eyes and patted Rishe on the head.

He turned on his heel right after, ready to head back to the office, thinking that he shouldn’t have stroked her head.

Oliver put his hand on his chin and murmured approvingly.

“I see, I see…”

“Oliver-sama?”

“Oh, don’t worry about it. I was just trying to figure out what time to have him back in your room today.”

An attendant’s work was varied. This marital dispute might have affected Oliver as well.

“Forgive me. I’ve been selfish. I’m sorry to inconvenience you as well, Oliver-sama.”

“No problem. It’s not just a ‘fight’ this time, but a ‘marital spat’, isn’t it? If that’s the case, then there’s no problem at all.”
